If you want to clear your body and mind, a detox is a great way to boost your performance. This quick toxin flush is easy and won't strain your wallet.

Epson salt actually isn't salt. It's a mineral, magnesium and sulfate. Sulfate improves nutrient absorption and flushes out toxins.Yes! For instant toxin relief draw a warm bath and pour 3 cups of Epsom salt into the bath. Soak for 12-15 minutes. The sulfate will draw out lactic acid and other toxins. Epsom salt is very affordable and available at most grocery and drug stores (even the dollar store).

BONUS: And what does the magnesium do? Magnesium is easily absorbed through the skin and regulates more than 325 different enzymes in the body. It also reduces inflammation which helps muscle and nerve function.

Lemon water is an excellent source of anti-oxidants and vitamin C. It is as calorie-free as water, but it tastes better, acts as a blood sugar stabilizer, boosts metabolism, helps with digestion, contains calcium, and can clean your skin. Every morning, drink a cup of hot water with juice of ½ a lemon. This helps to stimulate the liver.
By increasing the production of urine, lemon water also helps the body to flush toxins from the urinary tract, with enzyme production stimulated by the citric acid. A natural source of vitamin C, lemon juice also helps to fight colds, with potassium stimulating brain and nerve function.
BONUS: Lemon water also prevents formation of free radicals. These free radicals can cause death of the cells and rob electrons. It’s an excellent remedy for a hangover too!

Experts believe that sweating can flush the body of system-clogging substances like alcohol, cholesterol, and salt. Essentially, sweating eliminates toxins and waste. And, according to many medical professionals, exercise is touted as the best way to detox because you sweat out the toxins. Be sure to get into the gym and sweat, sweat, sweat. Jump rope a few extra minutes in your warm up or row 2,000 meters to really get your sweat on.
Also, if you have access to a sauna now is the time to use it. A sauna will certainly get your sweat going and also warm muscles.
BONUS: Exercise stimulates neurochemical pathways in the brain, resulting in the production of endorphins that act as natural painkillers. Sweat also blasts zits. When you sweat, your pores open and release the grit and grime that has built up inside of them. Boom!
