If you're looking for ways to reduce stress or anxiety, I encourage you to incorporate selfcare into your evening routine. Selfcare can really put you in a calm, relaxed state which is a great setup for a good night's sleep. Moon milk checks a lot of boxes in the selfcare department and can be part of your rituals.

Spices and adaptegens make it effective

Both lovely and effective, moon milk is an Ayurvedic tradition. It has been passed down as a remedy for sleeplessness for generations, most certainly because of its effectiveness.

Ayurvedic medicine is one of the oldest holistic healing systems in the world. The goal of this natural approach to health is to cleanse the body and to restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit. It uses diet, herbal medicines, exercise, meditation, breathing, and more to keep you healthy.

Moon milk contains spices and adaptegens which help cue the body to sleep and  can alleviate insomnia.

With cinnamon and ashwaganda*, it has powerful antioxidant properties that neutralize free radicals which cause premature aging and chronic illness.

Ashwagandha has been shown to reduce the effects and symptoms of stress and anxiety disorder in numorous studies by building a resistance to stress.

This adaptogen has also shown in research that it can help lower blood sugar levels, boost immunity by increasing natural killer cells, and stimulates brain function and memory.

You can find ashwaganda at many vitaman supplement stores, Amazon, variety stores and quality tea purveyors. I encourage you to shop local and support small businesses if you decide to buy some.

It's not always possible to shop loca, but something to keep in mind. It supports your community and small businesses really appreciate people making the decision to support their business.
